"I had multiple lines of insurance through this agent for years with zero claims before eventually switching away for lower rates. A few years later State Farm was offering great rates to me again so I signed back up and was reassigned back to Gibran although he wasn't the closest agent to me. Since I never go into the office I left it as is. Two years later, I had multiple vehicles damaged by a company contracted by my landlord and called Gibran's office for advice on how to proceed. He insisted I should not file a claim but should go after other insurance which I was unable to get from the responsible party or the landlord. He then told me that I should go after them in small claims court or just take the loss, but that I should absolutely not file claims as my rates would go through the roof despite not having any claims in over ten years. I ended up filing claims anyway and the representatives I spoke to were all horrified at this advice. At this point I no longer wanted to do business with Gibran and spoke with another State Farm agent that was closer to my home. I put in a request to transfer and it was canceled. After repeating this process a few more times Gibran literally called me to scold me for trying to change agents. I told him I was not interested in discussing it any further and wanted him to complete the transfer on his end. He would not let up until my spouse also got involved and told him that we would not be doing business with him regardless and that if he wouldn't approve this transfer we would just leave State Farm. He was aggressive and unprofessional about the entire thing and turned a business decision into a personal attack. He did eventually approve the transfer after the call and not only has my new agent been terrific, my claims were resolved quickly and without issue, and my rates actually went down drastically for the same coverage. I would not recommend anyone do business with this man. This isn't the only story I've heard about these practices. Edit: looks like he read this review while trying to think of an argument, and missed half the content , since he told me not to file claims for these losses at all. Once I filed the claims against his repeated advice not to do so, I had a great experience with my adjuster and everyone else I spoke with. They handled the claim fairly with good communication and I am still happy with State Farm several renewals later. As I told him at the time, the vehicles were so damaged that they were ruled a total loss. If I had listened to his repeated advice to get appraisals out of pocket, figure out who to take to small claims etc, I'd have ended up eating the loss. I'm just glad I asked for a second opinion instead of trusting him. Yikes."
"So sorry that you feel this way. Claims like yours are very complicated and I am not a claims adjuster. My agency license does allow me to settle claims. My recollection is quite different from yours. We always encourage our customers to select the agent of their preference. We also are very passionate about doing our best for our customers. If this issue is still bothering you please give me a call and I will try to address your concerns. When a claim does not go your way it may not matter who your agent is. We try to be your best advocate but the final decision rests with claims. Maybe you would be better served speaking to your claims handler."

"Gibran Zogbi and his wonderful team are a joy to work with. In today's world of phone trees and poor customer service, I finally found someone who puts service for the customer at the forefront. I have known Gibran since he first started insuring me when I lived in Boise, Idaho. He went out of his way to ensure I was still covered when I moved to Washington. When my roof leaked in the middle of winter, he checked on my family and connected us with an excellent roofer who fixed the leak rapidly and at reasonable cost. You always feel like you have someone on your side when you work with Gibran and his team. I highly recommend them for anyone in the northwest who needs insurance."

"Gibrans state farm has been my insurance provider for the past 11 yrs. They helped me make all the needed changes to keep my same insurance when I moved to Seattle Washington. Anytime I need to update my insurance information or switch my vehicle's they get it done right away. "We were quoted a price of $16 per month, upon receiving our first bill we realized it was an almost double the rate quoted at $25 a month. While it does say that our quote may be a little different this is a huge discrepancy. We reached out to them and they said it was a mistake in underwriting and this is an unusual occurrence. They then proceeded to blame our credit score which has not changed in months and we’ve never had issues with a credit score being too low. They then tried to upsell us and have us add auto insurance so we could get a deal on our renters. Despite this being their error they refuse to honor a quote and billing amount that we’ve already paid. I’m not sure why I’d want to continue business and on top of that add more insurance with a business that is practicing such bad business practices."

After reviewing your scenario carefully I learned that your quote originated online and my office was not involved until they noticed that coverage was not bound. Then they picked up where you left off and unfortunately that included the error that was already in the quote. Later, when our underwriting department reviewed the quote they identified and corrected the error which changed the price. To prevent this from happening again I have asked my team to restart all online quotes from scratch. Again I am very sorry for your frustration. "After promising a rate and a policy, I found out SIX WEEKS LATER from my mortgage holder that I was without hazard insurance. I had to call the SF rep to learn that the SF underwriters wouldn't insure the house until the 15 year old roof with 30 year shingles was replaced. When challenged, the SF rep at this office threw his hands in the air and said there was nothing he could do. In a world of shady insurance practices, I've never been less impressed than I was by this bait and switch dealing. Gibran will blame my change on the underwriters but it is the customer service that drove me away. I was proven right when Gibran himself left a threatening voicemail shortly after making this initial post. Now he won't do what he is legally obligated to do and release me from coverage after I've secured coverage elsewhere. It's been a month-long battle. And they show no sign of a good faith resolution."

"Once, the people at State Farm told me to drop a form at his office. The man inside was very rude and told us to not just stop by because he had a conference call. They made me deal with the at-fault driver's insurance company myself. Turned out I totally got screwed because I don't know anything about accidents because I've never had one. My insurance has gone up by $50 a month and I was told to call his office which I did and I never received a return call. Giving the three stars because he was very nice when I got in an accident. Even though he constantly kept reminding me that since it wasn't his drivers fault, he didn't even need to be talking to me."

"Waiting 2 days just to receieve a car insurance quote, no email responses or anything. Have been with this agent for years, including house insurance, so they already have my info. The fact I cant get instant quote, is enough to want to leave State Farm"
"Hi Cody, I'm sorry you had difficulty getting a quote. My agency is passionate about customer service. I see that your initial request was made on Sunday and my local office rests on Sunday. Sometimes you can get help on StateFarm.com when we are closed. We respond to email requests within 1 business day. According to our logs we did respond to you on Monday. When our policyholder's need something urgently we usually suggest that they call our local office as opposed to email because we do not go home without returning every call that comes in before 4:00PM. I have since heard directly from my team that your request has been resolved. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do to help. -Gibran "
